What to Bring to Your First Showroom Visit

A simple checklist for your first visit to a tile, kitchen and bath showroom, so you leave with real choices and an accurate quote.

Tile sample racks at the Avanos showroom

A little preparation turns a showroom visit from browsing into decisions. Bring these and you’ll leave with real choices and a quote you can count on.

The checklist

  1. Measurements. Room length and width, ceiling height, and the size and position of windows and doors. For bathrooms, the shower or tub area too.
  2. A rough sketch. Hand-drawn is fine. Mark where the sink, range, fridge, toilet and vanity sit today, and anything you plan to move.
  3. Photos of the room. Wide shots from each corner help us see what you’re working with.
  4. Inspiration. Screenshots or saved pins of kitchens and baths you like. Even one photo helps.
  5. What’s staying. Flooring, appliances or fixtures you’re keeping, so new choices match.
  6. Your timeline. When your contractor plans to start, so we can plan orders and delivery.
  7. A budget range. It helps us show you the right options first, and point out where spending more is worth it.
